We are searching for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team in our new purpose built site in Cranbourne. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various logistics functions and ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently, on time and compliance with JAS policies while providing excellent service to our customers.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate the Operations and Service Level of the operations
- Support the managers to manage the operations to budget
- Responsible for the timely administration of all reporting to the corporate office
- Responsible for the scheduling and supervision of the staff at the site
- Ability to tailor communication (both written and verbal) according to appropriate audience
- Demonstrate leadership through work ethic and commitment
- Ability to improve the focus of the warehouse team, ensuring high standards are reached and maintained in areas such as OH&S, Quality, Customer Service, and Inventory Integrity.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate ability to manage and lead people
- Ability to manage in a multitask role
- Working understanding of a transactional or dedicated transportation model
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail-oriented
- Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, time management and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years 3PL Supervisory experience in supply chain and logistics
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Current forklift license
- Strong experience in supply chain and logistics
