My client, based out of North Ryde, is looking to appoint an experienced logistics stock controller with data analysis/supervisor with leadership experience. They will be tasked with controlling these functions for the region with the existing team and coordinator.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all stock is managed and updated through our stock control system including planning and facilitating stocktake procedure and ensure high inventory accuracy on an ongoing basis.
- Set operational guidelines and standards for staff to follow and lead by example. Enforce these standards across the business to maintain stock accuracy
- Ability to assess future stock needs projections based on current and historical information and report + order based on these
- Establishing and continuously improving operations procedures for warehouse activities; receiving and storing of stock and distribution processes
- Achieving and surpassing on time delivery standards with the logistics team
- Ensure accuracy of daily picking and outbound shipments
- Cost saving and systems improvements. Eg Reporting insights, cost improvements on shipping rates etc
- Data entry where applicable
- Assist with picking, packing and various other warehouse duties when required. Eg for particular customers or during high volume and or staff absence or as per business requirements
- Possess sound commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills
- Coaching and training relevant staff on best practices
- Strong and clear English communication skills over the phone, email and in person where required
- Intermediate to advanced reporting experience
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Expense control experience
- Degree qualification in Logistics and/ or Supply Chain Management or related desirable. Experience also taken into account.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
