Our client is a leading meat processor based in Gundagai and they are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Supervisor - Quality Assurance to join their team.
This role is one of compliance leadership and is accountable for providing service and support to operations to allow them to perform according to food safety and quality requirements.
This role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and duties will include:
- Assist in development & maintenance of Food Safety and Quality Assurance systems and their processes to ensure compliance of operations
- Present and report accurate and timely historical QA information and analysis
- Develop plans and processes that look to the future needs of operations to support a sustainable business being able to be operated into the future
- Assist in overseeing, integration and reporting on QA in operations work i.e. auditing, testing, corrective action processes, and projects to deliver sustainable results
- Anticipate future QA critical issues for the company, its operation and integration and advise on options for dealing with these
- Consider the impact on and from systems from other areas and integrate accordingly (e.g. maintenance, human resources & operations)
- Maintain documents as required and legal requirements of role
- Monitoring WI procedures and processes to identify opportunities for improvements
Key Requirements:
- At least 4 years experience in quality management within the food manufacturing industry - meat industry highly desired but open to other industries
- Tertiary qualifications in a food science discipline
- Formal training in HACCP, food quality systems, and internal auditing, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a highly diverse workforce
- Excellent organising skills to manage multi-tasking and timely reporting.
