About the role
We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Logistics Supervisors to lead our logistics Dispatch and Receivals Operations, with a specific focus on automation solutions. The Logistics Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods, ensuring the accuracy of customer orders, and driving process improvements through automation technologies. A day in the life
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
- Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality assurance to meet customer expectations, with a particular focus on automated quality control measures.
- Supervise Shift (Day & Night) Operations: Manage and lead a team of logistics personnel during the Night Shift to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Automation Integration: Drive the implementation and optimisation of automation solutions within the logistics department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and reducing discrepancies through our WMS.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and workflows, implementing best practices and automation solutions to streamline operations.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into operational efficiencies.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor or a similar role, with a strong background in Night Shift operations within a FMCG, short shelf-life fresh product.
- Solid WMS experience within FMCG.
- Demonstrated expertise in logistics automation solutions and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Knowledge of inventory management, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred although not essential.
