About the role
In your new role of Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will assist production in achieving optimal food safety and quality effectiveness by:
- Supporting the delivery of operational excellence by proactively coordinating and implementing Quality Assurance activities and initiatives, as well as driving quality and food safety through compliance within further processing.
- Supporting relevant departments to implement and maintain the Quality & Environmental Management System including compliance and document control.
- Assisting in onsite audits including Corrective Action Requests, supplier non-conformances, customer complaints, data analysis and development of accurate reporting.
- Coach, mentor and provide support to the QA team including participating in the development and facilitation of training programs.
- Performing higher duties acting in the QA Manager position during times of absence or high operational periods.
- Ensuring compliance within food safety and hygiene procedures and policies as well as relevant industry Standards and ISO certifications.
- Resolving customer escalations and complaints.
About you
As a Quality Assurance professional, you will have experience within the food processing and distribution industry and will bring detailed knowledge of products and processes within the food safety scope.
In addition, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in food science and/or related agricultural science and training (ISO 9000, HACCP and GMP) along with relevant industry experience including internal auditing of food safety and quality systems.
- Advanced mathematical aptitude, well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventive actions.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including maintaining databases and developing spreadsheets.
- Excellent leadership skills including mentoring and motivating your team to achieve departmental targets.
- Full Australian Work Rights, current state drivers license and clean driving record.
