The role
Currently we have multiple casual opportunities to join the Flinders Logistics team in Port Adelaide where you will assist in the day-to-day operations of loading and unloading of cargo from ships, road, and rail. Previous maritime or forklift operating experience is highly regarded, but not essential. This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in maritime and undertake the training and skill development required to grow with the business.
The role requires the ability to operate heavy machinery including cranes, skid steers, loaders and excavators, so any experience and relevant tickets will be highly regarded, but not essential - training will be provided where required.
This is a casual role where the hours are fluctuating and sporadic dependent on the schedules and requirements of the Port in the servicing of vessels. Applicants must be prepared to be on-call and available to work varied hours at short notice across a 24/7 roster, including working in challenging weather conditions.
