An opportunity exists for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate arborists to join our Environment and Natural Assets arboriculture team.
With a customer first approach, you will use your arboriculture knowledge and experience to ensure the quality maintenance of Council’s trees and natural assets for the enjoyment of the Community and Visitors alike to the district. Duties will primarily be:
- Roadside and reserve tree pruning and removal
- Vegetation management in urban and rural open space
- Tree planting , staking and mulching
- Chemical application
As a member of the versatile Maintenance & Operations team, other duties relating to public place and civil maintenance may be required in delivery of departmental service functions.
Our ideal candidate will hold demonstrated experience in arboriculture operations, with a nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture or Horticulture highly desirable.
Applicants should also be competent and ticketed in chainsaw operation and maintenance, wood chipper operations and ChemCert accreditation.
A current MR Truck Licence is required.

Commencement salary is $76,238 per annum, plus superannuation.
