A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen, initially at headspace Rockingham then extending to headspace Mandurah as the program grows, for the successful applicant to deliver the ‘help while you wait’ pilot program. Partnering with the Curtin University enAble team we are now able to deliver brief interventions to young people waiting for support / intervention from headspace. The successful Clinician will receive the unique evidence based brief interventions training package from Curtin University to feel confident in delivering this specific brief intervention to young people. The LYRIC Access Clinician will also perform thorough psychosocial assessments by performing triage and intake duties.
To be successful in joining our team, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and eligibility for registration / membership under the relevant body
- Strong understanding of the sector and experience in direct service provision to young people and their families
- Skills in creating an environment that actively encourages young people to participate in decisions relating to their own care
- High level communication skills that support an integrated care approach
- A current working with children check and national police certificate dated within 6 months
The hourly rate for this position is $35.42 ($69,989 per annum full time equivalent) with salary packaging for tax free income of $15,900 per annum and other generous options to ensure you take home more.
