Austral Bricks™ NSW is seeking a Machine Operator to join our newly formed and growing Advanced Cladding Business, initially based at Punchbowl and transitioning to Horsley Park later in 2023.
Reporting to the Business Manager, Advanced Cladding Systems, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently setting up and operating mechanical equipment involved in the manufacture of building products.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Set up, operate and clean mechanical equipment in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
- Set controls, fix attachments and materials to prepare for operation;
- Perform basic problem solving and diagnosis of machine issues and escalate non-routine issues to maintenance team for resolution; and
- Assist and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing machinery.
- Forklift Licence.
- Strong skill in problem solving and fault-finding activities to identify and resolve machine issues/breakdowns.
- Strong ability to operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
