What is the role?
The key responsibility of this role is to operate a wide variety of industry leading Specialised Machines safely and effectively, as well as ensuring the safe trimming, dismantling and removal of trees and vegetation. You will rotate throughout the date between duties such as maintenance checks, implementing exclusion and drop zones, safely observing and conducting risk assessments. Some of the equipment you might use in this role include:
- Elevated Work Platform
- All terrain forestry trimmer
- All-Terrain Jarraff, Truck Mount Jarraff & Tracked Jarraff
- Excavator with Mulching Head, Log Grab & Rake attachments
- Other unique equipment designed and developed by Active’s own team
*A large part of this role will involve working away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time. During these periods you will receive additional compensation in the form of a tax-free Living Away From Home Allowance.

Do you have?
- A current drivers’ licence
- MR/HR Drivers Licence (essential)
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- The ability to work safely
- The flexibility to Live Away from Home for up to 2 weeks at a time
Great, but not essential:
- White card
- First Aid
- Excavator Certificate – RIIMP0320A (Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations)
- Industry experience and/or qualifications (Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control or Cert III Horticulture/Arboriculture are highly advantageous)
