Reporting to the Production Maintenance Manager, as a Machine Operator you will be safety focused, prioritise production effectiveness on quality, strive for on time delivery and waste reduction. You will ensure activities are carried out to achieve improvements, whilst mobile equipment is fit for use before operating.
The role will be based at our Jindera 5mins from Albury and will be on a full-time basis. You will be flexible to work across a rotating shift across 6am – 2.30pm & 8am – 4.30pm on a rotating roster, and you will enjoy working within a fast-paced environment that encourages growth with an excellent team culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper working order
- Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during production procedures
- Maintain and clean tools before and after each shift
- Feed information akin to speed, shapers, and sizes through the device set up box
- Place parts in semi-automated machines
- Calibrate machines at the beginning of each turn
- Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift
- Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
- Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Perform random tests to ensure accuracy & safety checks on every machine
Skills & Experience required:
- 5+ year’s progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry.
- Previous experience and understanding of process/quality improvement practices
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and quality to meet customer needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
- Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, and driven
