Xefco has pioneered a novel plasma technology, called Ausora™ that provides a sustainable dyeing and finishing solution to eliminate water pollution from textile manufacturing. Ausora has been developed through a long-standing research partnership with Deakin University and is set to bring a disruptive manufacturing solution to the textile industry together a broad range of other potential applications.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Machine Technician to join our growing team and support the manufacture of Ausora plasma dyeing and finishing systems.
Duties:
- Assemble Ausora systems for prototype and commercial use according to detailed designs produced by our in-house engineering team.
- Fabricate and modify system components.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Research teams on the design and assembly of Ausora systems to improve efficiency, quality and reliability.
Reporting:
The Machine Technician will report to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in engineering or related field.
- Fitting, machining and turning skills.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to production of industrial machinery.
- Experience with CAM/CNC machinery is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
