One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Mainframe Security Expert to drive technical compliance with IT security and support audit management systems. The role can be based from Canberra or Melbourne as they have flexible working arrangements with the successful Mainframe Security Expert to be offered a 12 month contract with 2 year’s extension options.
The successful Mainframe Security Expert will be responsible for, but not limited to.
- zIDM (SAMS/390) development, maintenance, and support
- Interfacing security and authentication mechanisms between Mainframes, Unix, and IDM systems
- Software design and development in Assembler and NCL
- Troubleshooting and problem solving with technical knowledge of Net/Master, z/OS, TCP/IP, APPC, MQ Series, DB2, ACF2 and RACF.
The successful Mainframe Security Expert will have experience in the following:
- System modifications and development of ad-hoc tools in Assembler
- Detailed technical knowledge of z/OS operating system, RACF and ACF2 security software and proficiency in Assembler, REXX, CLIST, JCL and various IBM, CA and third-party utilities, such as ICETOOL and zSecure
- Forwarding Mainframe Security events to the SIEM and developing Use Cases
- Configuration of Multi Factor Authentication using RSA SecurID
