Why Your Role Matters:
The Maintenance Assistant position provides support to the Maintenance Supervisor and Handyperson for the maintenance of the UNSW Accommodation residences. The Maintenance Assistance works under the guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Handyperson to ensure daily maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Who You Are:
- Sound administrative and organisational skills with ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment is desirable.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability and understanding to perform basic level of repair work appropriate to UNSW Student Accommodation.
- Sound level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications and exposure to the administration of online systems and databases is desirable.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
