Bis Industries are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Paget operations. This position is offered on a Full - Time basis, working Monday to Friday.
You will oversee our Paget workshop operations as a whole and ensure that our preventative maintenance schedule is correctly developed, implemented and adhered to, to optimise our equipment availability and productivity. This role will report in directly to our Maintenance Manager.
This is a hybrid role with some time in the office being required along with time in the field - helping to train, upskill and teach our up and coming fitters the tips and tricks of the diesel trade!
We need to ensure that our mobile plant assets are spending more time in the field working helping us shift that beautiful black gold for our client!
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Actively promote a safety culture of Zero Harm
- Development, implementation and ongoing adherence of a Preventative Maintenance Schedule for onsite assets
- Ensuring maintenance activities/logs are updated in our computer systems
- Provide daily direction to workshop personnel for repairs and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant
- Assisting in problem solving and troubleshooting maintenance problems/issues
- Ensure the delivery of reliable mobile plant assets to onsite operations.
- Compile, and produce maintenance reports as required for senior management
- Assist with the purchasing of parts, materials and equipment as required
- Identify opportunities to reduce repair and maintenance costs
- Heavy mechanical trade certificate is preferred (Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic)
- Mining Supervisor competencies (G1,8 and 9 and G2)
- Previous experience managing small workshop crews within a mining environment
- Excellent leadership qualities including the ability to mentor, guide and teach others
- Working knowledge of WH&S regulations and coal regulations
- Ability to prioritize servicing/maintenance schedules to ensure optimal machinery turnaround/downtime
- Planning and scheduling skills
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (experience with JD Edwards would be a big plus)
