The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Can Making Plant in Revesby, New South Wales, which will soon be going under an ~$85 million capacity expansion. Reporting into the Mechanical Supervisor and working 6am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday the Day Shift Fitter responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- On-going maintenance of machinery, equipment and services, to assist in meeting or exceeding site objectives (Production, Quality, Spoilage).
- Actively pursuing mechanical maintenance improvements to achieve production targets and improve plant uptime.
- Safety: Demonstrates an exemplary safety ethic – Leading by example and setting standards for the health, safety and wellbeing.
- Quality: Drive a high-quality culture and standard.
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification, recognised in Australia
- 3 years mechanical maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Team player
- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Be able to meet requirements of Orora’s pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
What We Offer
- You will be paid in line with our Enterprise Agreement which is classifcation depdendent annualised salary of $70,000 - $75,000 base + superannuation for an average 37.5 hour working week, with opportunity to work overtime.
- Additional hours worked outside of the rosters will be paid at overtime rates in line with our Enterprise Agreement.
