The Sustainable Infrastructure team are responsible for maximising value for our customers and the community through the development of innovative and optimised infrastructure plans and their efficient and effective delivery. This team plans, builds, manages, and maintains all, of our water and sewerage assets across the state and business.
This role will see you supporting the maintenance group to deliver successful and safe capital and major maintenance investments by coordinating complex maintenance programs and regional projects with our customers front of mind within budget, quality and schedule. This role can either be based in Adelaide or Crystal Brook.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of work packages that are highly complex due to the number of stakeholders, technical risk or capital value.
- Build and maintain a strong, constructive working relationship with project and maintenance teams focussed on achieving customer outcomes and enabling team members to work safely and to their full potential.
- Effectively disseminate and communicate business performance, key corporate messages and current priorities and initiatives to influence the actions and behaviours of project and maintenance teams.
- Anticipate risks and develop control mechanism to understand and systematically prevent issues arising in the project delivery lifecycle.
- Drive improvements in processes and practices that results in benefits to the broader project delivery.
- Drive to an increased awareness in the Safety in Design (SiD) process through coordination of an effective SiD consultation and delivery plan with resources from Asset Management, Program/Project Management, WHS, Operations, Design and Construction in order to achieve safe design outcomes.
A natural ability to communicate and influence a wide range of stakeholders coupled with a sound background in project management will be essential in this role. In this role you will need the ability to work autonomously, deal with ambiguity and make clear and decisive decisions to effect successful outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering / related degree or significant industry experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience to manage large, complex or strategic infrastructure projects and/or programs of work
