As the Maintenance Electrician you will have a keen eye for detail, technical aptitude, enthusiastic about automation and change, and experience in a process driven environment will be highly regarded. This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on and energetic person with a high level of organisation and the ability to work with a sense of urgency and accuracy, while maintaining safe work practices and following procedure.
What will you do?
- This role is key in the delivery of industrial electrical and automation maintenance, continuous improvement activities, and monitoring of production assets to ensure optimal plant performance
- Support strategic maintenance activities, including project engineering and new equipment commissioning
- The Maintenance Electrician requires a solutions-based approach to work, ensuring planned works and unplanned breakdowns are managed safely, efficiently and effectively while maintaining best practice standards to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers
- Develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with Tooling and Die Setter, and Manufacturing teams, supporting line setup, start up and running controls
- Lead the proactive risk management of employees and contractors by ensuring SWMS, JSEA, PTW and other risk management processes are implemented and enforced
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve a consistently high standard of work. A high level of communication and attention to detail are key to your success in this role. You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team and have sound judgment skills
- The ability to adapt and change, within a very short time scale
- Sound understanding of WH&S with a strong focus and commitment on safety, quality and environment
- Planning and organisational skills
- An Australian Electrical Licence essential
