JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity exists an Industrial Electrician’s (Afternoon Shift, M-F, 2.30pm to 11.00pm) to support the MAP WA Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be working closely with a dedicated team supporting the installation, maintenance and repair for all site electrical and control system. On a day-to-day basis you will provide electrical maintenance support and technical expertise for automated systems at MAP WA’s Retail Ready Operations. You will use your skills and experience to improve reliability and performance.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide maintenance to production teams, maintaining plant to the highest standards
- Providing electrical support to the engineering teams and production staff by ensuring that planned and preventative maintenance is performed, and break downs are urgently addressed
- Assisting with any major plant upgrades, continuous improvement projects and initiatives
- Maintain and upkeep areas within the workshop and on-site work areas
- Understand and implement quality control standard and conditions in line with procedures
JOB CRITERIA
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Australian Electrical trade licence / qualification (essential)
- Industrial experience in installations, fault finding, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient with preventative maintenance systems CMMS (MEX)
- PLC experience (desirable but not required)
- Experience in automation and material handling equipment
- Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
- Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
- Knowledge of food processing industry and food safety/ HACCP principles
- Experience in root cause analysis
- Strong organisational skills and ability to plan ahead to support the team’s unique needs
