The Maroota site is located in the scenic North-Western outskirts of Sydney, CSF Proteins is a division of Ridley, processing poultry and fish by-products to manufacture protein and oil-based products.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the key purpose of the role is to maintain and repair equipment and provide assistance in solving processing issues with equipment at CSF Proteins,Maroota.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Maintain the work place and apply good housekeeping procedures
• Follow LOTO procedures
• Follow SOPS or complete JSA
• Ensure Hot Work Permits are completed
• Confined space work is carried out as per Ridleys policies and Procedures
• Working at Heights is carried out as per Ridleys policies and Procedures
• Maintain the equipment and take corrective action as required
• Monitor the operation of individual plant items (as required) and be able to identify abnormal operating conditions
• Report problems that may affect the safety of plant, the quality of product or risk to the environment
• Comply with relevant OHS/WHS as per Ridleys policies and Procedures
• Participate in Safety, Quality & Environment training initiatives.

Key skills required for this role include:　

• Trade Qualifications (in engineering/mechanical discipline relevant to role).
• Current Drivers Licence
• Current Forklift Licence and/or Elevated Work Platform Licence
• Current Confined Space Licence
• Mechanical aptitude
• Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good hand co-ordination
• Able to work as part of a team
• Able to follow written instructions
• Good communication skills
• Good numeracy skills
• Physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks
• ARA Hygienic Rendering Course desirable
