As a member of our maintenance team, the successful applicant will be required to:
- Ensure all plant (processing and ancillary), equipment, and buildings are maintained in a fully operational and safe condition according to food standards.
- Assist with the installation of new plant, equipment and facilities.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
- Repair food production equipment.
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualified Fitter & Turner or Electrical qualification is essential. Electricians with a strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply with PLC experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience. Food industry experience is desirable but not necessary.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Computerised maintenance system experience is desirable but not necessary training on sit will be given.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
Requirements of the role
- Multi-skilled including diagnostic skills for equipment,
- Good fault finding skills.
- FITTER - Welding (MIG, TIG and stick), machining, etc.
- Electrician - PLC Knowledge.
- Understanding of food safety requirements and compliance with Quality Assurance food safety standards.
- Full-time role. Flexible work hours as per the roster to provide maintenance coverage over 7 days of the week.
