Due to continued company development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Qualified (Mechanical or Electrical) Technician in their Wangara facility. Tasked with assisting in preventative maintenance, repairs and optimization of blow molding, filling, capping, packaging and palletizing production equipment.
What's on offer?
This is a permanent position. Ordinary shift pattern of 84 hours a fortnight on 12 hour rotating shifts (6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am), across a roster of 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (7-day fortnight) with two weekends off per month. Working in a supportive and inclusive environment the successful candidate will be given opportunities for ongoing training and career advancement.
Key responsibilities.
- Monitor duties carried out by production staff
- Prioritize breakdown repairs
- Ensure preventable and scheduled maintenance is completed in a timely manner
- Identify parts needed and maintain inventory of parts in stockroom.
- Assisting with the preventative maintenance, repairs, and optimization of equipment such as Injection Molding, packaging, palletizing and filling.
- Identifying efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
- Consults with production personnel to determine equipment operating and maintenance needs
- Ensure safe operating conditions exist throughout the facilities. Promptly corrects any unsafe conditions
- Coaches and provides constant feedback for development and improved operation of operators and machinery
- Maintaining HACCP and GMP requirements.
- Being a subject matter expert, by sharing knowledge, training staff, and leading by the highest standards in all your work.
What you'll need
- Unrestricted Australian working rights (must have full/permanent Australian working rights)
- Qualified electrician, Fitter or engineer
- Previous experience in FMCG industry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance roles
- Extensive experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC.
- Computer literacy, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Current drivers licence.
