Join an established team in the Townsville region as an Electrical Fitter Your new company Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of dairy products and are looking for a qualified electrical Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Townsville. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality maintenance services are provided to plant and equipment. You will also work closely with other site electricians, fitters, and production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation. Your new role In this role you will be a qualified Electrician with a current QLD electrical licence and will be responsible for the following:
Perform daily machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance work orders and schedules.
Use PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Rockwell software to monitor and control the plant operations.
Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and electrical components.
Record and report all maintenance activities using MEX or similar computerised maintenance management system.
Assist with capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Attend to all types of site management related tasks, from garden sprinklers to PLC to capital proposition.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Australian electrical trade qualification with current electrical licence.
Electrical background with proven experience in the FMCG industry.
Mechanically minded and analytical thinking skills.
Self-motivated, willing to learn and grow in other fields than electrical or mechanical.
Willing to complete tasks outside trade scope.
Ability to work on a set roster (day shift 8:30am to 5:00pm Mon-Fri) with on call roster (one week every 3 weeks).
