ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter on an Afternoon Shift (2 pm to 10 pm).
In this position you are required to work across afternoons, which is fixed. You will initially begin on day shift for your training, and once familiarised with your role you’ll transition to your designated shift.
- 8hr shift pattern (2pm to 10pm)

YOUR NEW ROLE
- Responding to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
- Demonstrate an advanced level of fault finding/problem solving skills
- Work with the production and maintenance teams to achieve the best possible outcome of equipment performance
- Maintaining a high standard of work reflective of the relevance to technical trade qualification
- Liaise with Shift Supervisor/s to ensure required machines are available and in acceptable working condition
- Work with and train Production Operators to complete technical aspects of Machine Setting
- Plan and co-ordinate Machine Maintenance and Machine Setting activities to meet production Targets
- Work with purchasing department in sourcing spare parts and maintenance consumables.
- Accountability for the upkeep of the maintenance workshop and parts storage.
- Maintain a process for managing inventory of maintenance materials
- Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Factory is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
- Compliance to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Factory.
Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Disconnect-Reconnect Electrical licence
- Forklift License
- Computer literacy
- A minimum of 24 months in Maintenance and Machine Setting
- Experience of machines in production process
- Experience in managing situations with tight quality and efficiency parameters
- Experience with machine installation & commissioning
- Experience with mechanical fault finding
- Experience with electrical fault finding
- Experience with machining, welding, fabrication
- Basic use of Microsoft Office packages
