Day Shift 6am - 6pm. 3 - 4 days a week of 12 hours shifts equalling full time permanent hours.
What you'll be responsible for:
• Finding and resolving failure modes on a broad range of mechanical machinery including Packaging equipment, Palletisers, Conveyors and Food Processing machinery in general
• Ensuring that the plant operates with maximum achievable uptime and equipment availability
• Investigating equipment “Root Cause” failures and implement improvements to eliminate recurrence
• Conducting and implementing detailed PM inspections as well as carry out corrective actions during the shift
• Reading and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings/mechanical schematics including pneumatics
• Understanding equipment technical specifications and application to processing systems
>Utilising our MEX Maintenance Management System
• Strictly adhere to the Site WH&S and Quality requirements and targets
What you’ll bring to the role?
• You’ll be physically fit, and trade qualified in Fitting and Turning (Australian OR: TAFE Recognised overseas 4 year apprenticeship.)
• Experience in an FMCG environment (food production environment preferred)
• Proven routine preventative maintenance experience. RCA methodology.
• Welding skills – TIG & Stick desirable.( Or a commitment to qualify.)
• Familiarity/exposure to pneumatics-CERT 3 (Or a commitment to qualify.)
• A working knowledge of technical drawings and mechanical schematics & symbols
• A keen desire to improve your skills and to share your knowledge with your co-workers
• Initiative and proven ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised
• Commitment to health and safety and ensuring that best practises are followed in the workplace
• Excellent communications skills – you are great at keeping everyone in the loop!
• A love of teamwork – you enjoy working with others and are always willing to lend a hand when needed
