Maintenance Handyperson

Permanent Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: Handyperson Trade (GH1)

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

Maryborough District Health Service is seeking a Handyperson to join the Building & Services Team in a permanent position. The Maintenance Handyperson role is responsible for undertaking repairs and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment across the Maryborough, Dunolly & Avoca campuses. Our ideal candidate is physically able, has a sound and proven work ethic, a strong pride in presentation and the ability to work autonomously.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• Test & Tag Licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence
• General Maintenance experience
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports as needed

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Test & Tag Licence (or willing to obtain same).

Desirable

• Trade qualifications preferred but not essential
• General maintenance experience.
• Ability to think laterally to problem solve
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
