This key appointment is part of the company's strategy to continue to drive production in this new 24/7 facility. Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the facilities optimal performance. You will be responsible for managing the maintenance budget and maintenance team, developing, and executing maintenance strategies, overseeing equipment maintenance, coordinating plant shutdowns, overseeing spares holding, and spearheading plant modification projects and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities also include:
Develop and implement effective tactical maintenance management systems to provide the framework for 24/7 manufacturing, including scheduling of maintenance activities and commissioning/decommissioning of plant infrastructure assets.
Design and implement maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance approaches, which are aimed at reducing unplanned downtime and maximizing asset reliability, safety, and quality.
Implement and monitor controls for cost recoveries from subcontractors and suppliers including the capture of records of actual and potential variations and disputes.
Pro-actively engage with relevant stakeholders across engineering, trades and production teams to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried out in full and in a timely manner.
Drive change in processes and introduce new technology to improve capability of the production and the manufacturing.
Foster an engaged workforce by creating a performance culture that reflects a high level of customer service, teamwork and collaboration to build capability and service excellence.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate improvements in the delivery of plant maintenance.
The Key Selection Criteria include:
Demonstrated experience in a maintenance management team leadership role within a 24/7 process plant environment or manufacturing plant
Strong engineering experience within the manufacturing industry and ideally come from an electrical, mechanical, process engineering background.
Demonstrable technical aptitude, strong fault finding and knowledge of wide variety of process equipment.
Proficiency in reading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, instrumentation and hydraulic engineering drawings.
Experience successfully driving a Safety awareness and ability to drive a 'safety before production' culture.
Strong stakeholder engagement experience; influencing others, negotiating and building relationships across an organisation.
An innovative approach to developing solutions and being in touch with trends and technologies.
