The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc Aged Care is a not for profit organisation providing Residential Aged Care services across two sites and Community Home Care programs. This Permanent Full-time position in our maintenance department, will be primarily based at our Seaton Residential home with some occasional travel to our Fulham site.
We are seeking candidates with prior experience in a Residential Aged Care environment, with a strong emphasis on customer service focus.
This role will:
- Contribute to the Maintenance programs that include preventative and corrective maintenance duties.
- Have a hands-on role in the safe provision of general and preventative maintenance on site. This includes assisting with general building upkeep.
- Ensure the safety and functionality of the facility by conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Promptly address maintenance requests and emergencies to minimise disruptions and maintain resident satisfaction.
- When working with staff, residents and external visitors around you, you will also ensure that your work is conducted in a safe, well organised and professional manner.
- Assist with the maintenance & equipment functions of the business and adhere to Work Health Safety guidelines
- Undertake grounds keeping and complete appropriate records.
- Be responsible for equipment and plant monitoring
To be successful you will:
- Previous experience in Aged Care (highly desirable)
- Hold Work Health and Safety knowledge from a Maintenance perspective
- Have proven ability to work autonomously and manage own time
- Have exceptional Maintenance / Handyperson skills
- Hold a Manual Handling certification
- Trade skills are well regarded but not essential
- Hold excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Have basic computer literacy skills
- Hold a satisfactory National Police Clearance no more than 12 months old or be willing to obtain one.
- Hold a driver's license and reliable vehicle.
