As an experienced maintenance officer, you will be enthusiastic and highly motivated to proactively maintain the village to ensure the highest possible standards of repair, presentation and safety, and to provide an exceptional standard of personalised customer service for the benefit of residents.
You will report to the Property Services Manager and have the opportunity to work independently and make a difference for our residents

- Management of routine schedules and providing a range of general property repairs and maintenance services for the sites buildings, equipment and grounds;
- Maintenance of exterior presentation, including buildings, windows, pathways, BBQ areas, outdoor furniture, and disposal of waste;
- Ensure that the irrigation systems are maintained to an appropriate standard;
- Coordination, induction and supervision of the activities of external contractors;
- Working within WHS guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate;
- Administration of property services electronic databases, registers and reporting systems;
- Monitoring maintenance budget expenditure.
- Trade qualifications and/or experience in Property/Building maintenance;
- Knowledge and experience working within WHS requirements with a strong resident and safety focus
- Be approachable, empathetic, honest, patient and kind-natured, and importantly possess a sense of humour!
- Proactive approach at fostering solid professional relationships, and possess an inclusive, positive and collaborative style. This is imperative given that your role relies on creating productive relationships and partnerships with residents, other Fresh Hope agencies and external service providers/community organisations.
- Be "tech savvy" and have the aptitude, resourcefulness and drive to acquire a working knowledge of new programs and systems as required. Solid Microsoft Office suite skills are a given (including Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Experience in maintaining budgets and monitoring expenditure;
- A current NSW Driver's License;
- Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate (Including CPR) and Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care, or willingness to acquire
