About the role and about youWe are looking for a Maintenance officer, Groundskeeper to join our Customers team, on a permanent full-time basis. This role will be primarily based in Milsons Point, and you will work as part of a team of Maintenance Officers and, from time to time may be called upon to work in other locations.
As an SGCH Maintenance Officer, Groundskeeper you are responsible for providing excellent customer service to our tenants by carrying out daily grounds maintenance in some of our larger residential common area properties, and developments.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- maintaining waste services, bin rotations and responding to garbage chute blockage issues in properties
- maintain common area grounds to a high standard including lawn mowing, edging, hedging, mulching and weeding and pressure washing and other common area cleaning
- may be required to support the Handypersons Team undertake minor repairs and maintenance duties in times of inclement weather (patching and painting, minor carpentry, small, odd jobs with the team, and small cleanups duties)
- work as part of a team of Maintenance Officers and, from time to time may be called upon to work in other locations.
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- current NSW driving license
- previous experience in lawns and grounds maintenance
- strong experience in garden maintenance
- experience on power tools and gardening machinery
- understanding of how to work to, and follow a schedule of work
- good understanding of WHS legislation
- good communication skills
- good organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks
