A career opportunity exists for a highly organised and energetic full time Maintenance Officer/Trades Assistant to be part of the group.
Working closely with and reporting to the Group Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient running and maintenance of company kitchen and production facilities on an ongoing basis. You will be working across all sites as and when required to troubleshoot urgent maintenance/repair issues. You will manage any storage/warehouse facilities that store event equipment and this role will respond to all of the businesses operational, maintenance and warehouse challenges.
You are the key contact for all managers in relation to equipment breakdown and require a positive and problem-solving mindset. This is a hands-on role that taps into your previous trade background.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sourcing of appropriate service providers and contractors for maintenance.
- Providing repairs and maintenance support to kitchen/production facilities and residential building maintenance.
- Assisting in management of property services projects for both commercial and residential.
- Building and maintain relations with various trades and contractors.
- Liaising with architects/engineers/builders to plan/finalise kitchen builds.
- Ensuring property services HACCP/QA procedures and regularly compliance requirements are maintained and continuously reviewed.

- You understand how kitchen equipment works and have strong experience in troubleshooting problems and engaging trades to solve repair issues.
- You will possess excellent communication, organisational and quality control skills.
- Demonstrate high energy and dedication.
- The ability to take ownership and problem-solve in stressful situations.
- Experience within building industry is a must.
- WHS & HACCP knowledge and understanding.
- A passion for the catering and events industry.
- Have problem solving, strategy setting and analytical skills.
- Confident with compliance issues across OHS, Food Hygiene & Safety practice, local legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Strong writing and computer/spreadsheet skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- First Aid Certificate preferable, and full Australian working rights.
- Possession of a current Australian driver’s license is essential.
