Maintenance Officer/Handyperson

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and skilled Maintenance Officer/Handyperson to join the maintenance team at our client's shopping centre in the Hills District. 

In this role, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring that the centre is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. 

Note: This is a casual position where shifts may be available at short notice.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform painting works as required. Mostly touch ups, maintenance related.
• Undertake carpentry tasks including fixing doors, locks (small works).
• Regularly check and report on facility areas for maintenance issues, such as leaks, including in mechanical plant rooms (training provided).
• Inspect and clean gutters from the roof, carrying out minor gutter repairs.
• Complete a variety of daily tasks as assigned.
• Input task updates into the computer system using Arc (training provided if unfamiliar).

Requirements: 

• Proven experience using hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a daily task list.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (no restrictions).
• Basic computer skills for task updates (training on Arc provided).
• Some experience with small works like paint, carpentry or electrical
