AddressOur client, a local Retirement Village, is currently searching for a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Person to join their team. With 119 homes and a community of 150 residents, the role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the Retirement Village. The ideal candidate will possess strong maintenance skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to all residents.
This role requires the successful candidate to live on-site at the Retirement Village.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general groundskeeping duties, including lawn care, landscaping, and gardening.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as repairing fixtures, painting, and maintaining communal areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and address any issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of the village grounds and facilities to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Assist with minor repairs and renovations as required.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong practical skills with the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with on-call availability.
- Willingness to undergo a police check as a mandatory requirement.
- A first aid certificate is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
