Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.
Reporting to the Engineering and Planning Superintendent you will develop quality maintenance plans and assist the team in the effective maintenance of the operations mining fleet and infrastructure. As a forward-thinking asset management professional, you will provide a key role in the management of the sites field equipment.
Roster arrangements will be aligned with an 8/6 Day work pattern.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing short and long-term maintenance plans associated with mass mining equipment.
- Liaising with Suppliers and OEM's to ensure delivery of maintenance requirements are met;
- Reviewing and providing input to achieve maintenance performance targets including downtime compliance and Cost Control;
- Investigating enhancements to procedures and processes that achieve improvements in performance;
- Accountable for compliance of work plans to meet HSEC standards and site operational needs.
About you:
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP).
- Relevant trade qualification or Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience in a mining environment with dragline, drills and excavators
