Branching out…
The Long Reach Mill is a picturesque 30-minute drive from Launceston on the East Tamar. We receive 100% plantation grown sustainable wood, process this, and export for use in pulp and paper products. Long Reach deep-water port accommodates some of the largest woodchip vessels in the world. The mill is currently in the process of capital project investment and looking at continual improvement to deliver further value.
We are seeking applications from people who are suitably qualified and experienced to join our team as a Maintenance Planner, who will assist the Maintenance Coordinator with preventative maintenance, including but not limited to: collection of data, inspection, scope of works, scheduling maintenance, reporting and adapting and responding when reactive maintenance takes priority. This position will also perform maintenance activities, operational duties and coordinate trades services.
The Maintenance Planner will work dayshift Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet maintenance requirements for shutdowns and breakdowns a requirement of the position.

Applicants must have a mechanical or electrical trade qualification and experience working in a heavy industrial environment and/or in spare parts. Demonstrated project management experience including contract and procurement capability would also be looked upon favourably. Our ideal candidate will also have excellent computer proficiency and be accustomed to asset maintenance systems.
The successful incumbent will be a safety champion, have excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong work relationships, be a planner and have solid organisational skills, show attention to detail, be able to meet tight deadlines, and have the ability to work autonomously or as a member of the team.
