The position: This newly created position is responsible for the development and scheduling of strategies and programs to ensure the sustainable development and maintenance of Council’s assets. This includes developing and implementing asset management systems at strategic and operational levels.
  
Skills / Knowledge: Council is seeking an asset management professional with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, along with:

• Well-developed knowledge of contemporary asset management principles and practices in respect to buildings / facilities and local government infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of contemporary planning issues with experience in performance reporting and evaluating and improving asset utilisation.
• Experience in planning and managing projects within scope, time and budget requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.  
• Sound understanding of Local Government operations will be highly regarded.

The position is being offered on a permanent, with an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated with the successful applicant with the ability to negotiate flexible and hybrid work arrangements.
