About the role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Thiess maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah which commenced mining operations in mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.

Working an 8/6-day shift roster and reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent, your duties will include:
- Planning the scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs of the Truck, Dozer & Ancillary fleets ensuring compliance with all safety and statutory requirements
- Maintaining and utilising the Maintenance Management System to generate planned maintenance and major component repair cost budgets
- Liaising with internal and external suppliers to ensure that all parts and materials required to effect repairs/services are available at the scheduled times
- Monitoring and maintaining the known work list Defect Reporting System and the on-site Condition Analysis Systems to ensure information is used to update the maintenance and service schedules
- Minimising plant costs through continually investigating alternative suppliers for competitive pricing
- Responsibility for the short and medium-term maintenance scheduling and planning for our plant and equipment to maximise fleet availability and optimise the productivity of the operation
- Relevant Trade or Tertiary Qualifications
- Plant management experience and detailed knowledge of maintenance on a large-scale plant preferably within the mining sector
- Proven knowledge of heavy earthmoving plant
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining Caterpillar, Liebherr, Sandvik or Hitachi heavy equipment
- Competence in computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft office (project, word, and excel)
