Maintenance Policy/Compliance Control Officer

The Opportunity -

Forward looking, the Engineering function has developed a Capability Plan to enable the Engineering workforce to meet our defence customers' evolving needs, both in Australia and internationally.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Maintenance Policy/Compliance Control Officer to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program. In this role you will provide sustainment engineering support to the EC-135 Helicopter fleet to achieve the mission of training pilots, aircrew and aviation warfare officers for the Royal Australian Navy and Australian Army. The successful candidate will ideally possess knowledge and understanding of ADF's rotary wing environmental structure and capability.
This role will be based at HMAS Albatross, Nowra.
As a Maintenance Policy/Compliance Control Officer within BDA, you will
* Sustain safe, high tempo flight operations through incorporating OEM updates into the electronic Maintenance Management System, including co-ordinating supply and tooling variations to support those policy changes;
* Implement Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) updates in the electronic Maintenance Management System;
* Notify and liaise with the Boeing Maintenance workforce to communicate impacts of changes;
* Extract data from, and audit/review, the electronic Maintenance Management System against authorised maintenance data;
* Work closely with the maintenance planning team to develop best practice processes for efficient performance of maintenance;
* Collate and process suggested improvements to maintenance requirements; and
* Engage effectively with team members, technical representatives within industry and personnel from the Australian Army and the Royal Australian Navy.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience in maintenance planning, reliability or Maintenance Management Systems preferably in an aviation/rotary wing environment;
* Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security and trade controls requirements;
* Very good computer skills, preferably including Maintenance Management Systems and the full Office suite of software.
