Positioned in our Fruit & Veg team this role is responsible for leading all quality assurance activities at our Wyong Distribution Centre ( located on Central Coast NSW ) which services 80 stores.

• Wyong based role, Tuesday - Saturday roster 2am -10.30am shifts (may vary)
• Work closely with various internal stakeholders including the Distribution Centre, Buying and Store teams.

What you'll doThis role requires you to be working within a refrigerated environment for the majority of your shift.

• Validate the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team and Government Legislation
• Develop and maintain efficient rosters and succession plans in Quality Control to increase team productivity and bring to life flexibility
• Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
• Assist the Fruit and Veg leadership team with key metrics and Ways of Working, provide valuable and constructive feedback for the purposes of recognition and development opportunities
• Report to the Fruit & Vegetables Operations Manager and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI's

What you'll bring

• Proven experience leading a developing a high performing and diverse team
• Previous experience managing the performance, development, and engagement of direct reports
• Firm understanding of supermarket retailing, commercial and supply chain processes
• Demonstrated the ability to make changes that result in quantifiable business benefits
• Previous experience in Fruit & Veg or Fresh industries would be an advantage to ensure you are set up for success in this role
