BINGO have recently opened Australia’s largest and most-advanced recycling facility at our Eastern Creek Recycling Ecology Park. Featuring cutting edge manufacturing technology, MPC2 (Materials Processing Centre) will be a world-leading recycling asset right here in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a landmark project and what is set to become a significant asset in Australia’s push to recycle more and landfill less. MPC2 will be BINGO’s biggest achievement to-date, with state-of-the-art systems in recovery.
Our Maintenance Shift Managers are responsible for assisting the Plant Maintenance Manager with the preventative and breakdown down maintenance of Bingo's fixed plant machinery.
The role:
• Day shift
• Lead the day shift maintenance team consisting of fitters, electricians, and trades’ assistants to assist the team in achieving performance targets and following work through on a day-to-day basis
• Communicate regularly with Site Supervisors / Managers with regards to any works to be conducted on site
• Assist team members to perform scheduled preventive maintenance checks on Plant and Equipment
• Determine plant & equipment's condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests and identifying worn and damaged parts
• Assist in maintaining plant & equipment Maintenance Management System
• Provide input to increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup, management, and site staff
• Collect and analyse data to optimise maintenance operations
• Lead a safe “Zero Harm” culture and ensure safety compliance with team members, and contractor
• Provide technical support to the team on rectification and prevention of downtime events
• Follow operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, call for repairs

What you bring:
• Heavy Mechanical trade qualification (Plant or machinery)
• Previous management or supervisory experience highly regarded
• Proven team leadership and development skills with a track record of successfully coaching individuals to maximize their potential, fostering the growth and development of our entire workforce
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment highly desirable
• Flexibility to work weekends, overtime and different shifts where required
• Current drivers’ licence
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical problems
• A strong, safety focused work ethic
