An opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the Boortmalt Australia team as a Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be based at our plant in Cavan.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance and reliability planning and leadership in a manufacturing environment;
- Results oriented with good interpersonal, communication and team-based management skills;
- Management and administration skills and experience;
- Trade Qualifications (Mechanical);
- Experience in maintenance and reliability planning; and leadership;
- Leadership skills and experience;
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management & ERP Systems (Maximo & SAP highly regarded);
- MS Office skills.
Familiarity with the requirements of working in a food production environment would also be well regarded.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identifying the pro-active work needed to prevent functional failures. This includes the creation and review of maintenance job plans for all assets were required;
- Identifying and recording what is needed (parts, Materials, trades, acceptance criteria etc.) in order to execute pro-active work to be included in the job plans;
- Measuring, planning, scheduling and evaluating performance;
- Reviewing repetitive failures (bad actors). Manage and be the leader of the Root Cause and Failure;
- Taking ownership of and lead / review the Criticality Assessment of all (new) assets;
- Ensuring that Preventative Maintenance work is being completed with histories and cost;
- Ensuring the right critical spares are available when needed;
- Adhering to processes, procedures, and directions in relation to food safety and quality management.
- Ensuring plant HACCP, Quality and Continuous Improvement systems are followed and requirements are met (FSSC 22000 and others).
