About The Role
As an integral member of the Dudley Park Manufacturing Plant in Adelaide, you will provide clear leadership, including fostering a culture of continuous improvement, to a maintenance team of approximately 23 trades professionals. You are responsible for supervising the team for all maintenance work and ensuring effective, efficient maintenance programs and targets are implemented for buildings, plant, and equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for facilities and equipment
- Identify and action initiatives to reduce plant maintenance costs
- Manage spares program
- Develop methods and schedules for facility maintenance
- Conduct problem solving activities
- Attend and coordinate major breakdowns
- Arrange and coordinate major plant repairs, upgrades and preventative maintenance involving contractors
- Co-ordinate factory shutdown maintenance planning
- Produce reports and KPI’s from data in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Drive preventative maintenance audits
- Attend relevant meetings with production and manufacturing engineering departments
- Ensure that all waste material is disposed of in line with established business requirements.
- Provide technical support for the Maintenance TeamResponsible for the ongoing training and development of all employees in the Maintenance Team
- Encourage the attainment of EMS Yellow and Green gear certification
- Conduct performance appraisals

Knowledge/Skills
- Understanding of total product assembly process
- Maintenance experience in a medium/large manufacturing plant
- Preferably a trade background in electrical or mechanical and extensive experience in a maintenance department.
- Computer skills with a high competence level in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
