About the Role
Based at Bennetts Green and reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the Maintenance Team Leader (Dayshift) is responsible for the execution of planned and reactive maintenance activities in the Maintenance department. The Maintenance Team Leader ensures planned work is completed and prioritises breakdowns and change overs to ensure machine uptime is maximised. The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Identifies improvement opportunities implement specific to machine availability, demonstrating continuously improving machine OEE.
- Ensures that direct reports complete breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance activities to all equipment on site as per schedules provided.
- Takes direction from Senior Maintenance Team Leader and responds to requests from production team as required, including breakdowns, machine change overs, machine fault finding.
- Conducts machine inspections/preventative maintenance activities and ensures required actions are recorded in the MEX System. Reports back any faults identified.
- Models a focus on continuous improvement by actively raising and promoting opportunities for the factory.
- Identifies any skills gap with trades and either trains or arranges training as required.

Essential:
- Relevant Engineering Trade Qualification
- Physically fit for manual tasks
- Communication: Clear oral and written communication
- Organisation: Well developed time management skills, to prioritise key tasks
- Ability to work unsupervised to achieve targets and follow procedures
- Computer literacy: Outlook, Excel, Word
Desirable:
- Post Trade Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate
- Root Cause Analysis Training
