Cleaning Team Leader

We are searching for an experienced Cleaning Team Leader to support the site in an efficient, structured, and planned approach to get the best outcomes in terms of overall presentation and site cleanliness at our Bankstown facility.  

Snapshot of the role:

Leadership

• Manage and ensure the completion of cleaning tasks to the required performance standards
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement activities to improve site cleanliness
• Lead and motivate a high performing team
• Initial training and ongoing upskilling of team members
• Management of chemicals, equipment and consumables
• Regular reporting on status of cleaning activities and escalation of concerns

General Cleaning Duties

• General cleaning duties across the facility covering the administration building, reception areas, lunchrooms, and bathrooms.
• Production areas (PMM, CMM, Clean Room and Factory floor) including but not limited to:
• Vacuuming, dusting, wiping down and mopping including bathrooms and kitchens.
• Emptying and removal of rubbish
• Glass and window cleaning (internal)
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the site.
• Operate cleaning equipment as required, walk behind scrubber, floor buffer, scissors mop etc.
• Forklift operation for dumping of tippler bins into main bin.
• Adhere to site specific cleaning requirements, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to procedure in critical control zones i.e. Clean Rooms

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience with leading a small team
• Experience in industrial cleaning
• Forklift licence for dumping of tippler bins.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to understand work instructions with attention to detail
• Time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively both autonomously and in a team environment
• Understanding of work health and safety and ability to promote a safe working culture
• Ability to identify and lead continuous improvement activities
