About the Maintenance Technician role

As the Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of all assets within the UKO and ume portfolios. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every property is not only functioning flawlessly but also presented impeccably, maximizing rental returns for our organization. Main Responsibilities
- Help action daily maintenance requests from residents.
- Help complete preventative maintenance tasks for all sites.
- Help complete repairs and/or distribution of all furniture, fittings, and fixtures for all properties.
- Meet with tradesmen and assist where required.
- Ensure that the service the company provides, and the product, are of a quality standard and inspect and report on issues.
- Record any purchases, deliveries, storage, and distributions.
- Help ensure all scheduled maintenance is completed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
- Improve on services provided to UKO and UME clients.
- Help support and oversee cleaning contractors.
- Assist with cleaning and prepare vacated buildings and rooms, getting them ready for new occupants to move in.
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with contractors, vendors, and site workers to get the best bargains on property repairs and suppliers.
About you: Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
General maintenance skills: the Maintenance Technician is required to have mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures. You will need the right skills to know how things work and how to keep premises well-presented and organised, as well as how to tackle maintenance tasks in a fast and easy manner
Ability to diagnose electrical issues and carry out minor repairs
Verbal and written communication skills: strong communications skills are required for effective delivery of information to clients, colleagues, and management.
