Due to the expansion of business, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on full time basis to work from 11.00am - 7.00pm.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and machinery in the facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all equipment and machinery. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on all equipment and machinery in the facility
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery as needed
- Perform preventive maintenance programs
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed in MEX maintenance software
- Ensure an immediate response to issues, problems, breakdowns related to machinery and company assets, in coordination with the production team to ensure continuous production
- Solve technical problems and be able to read service manufacturer manuals
- To follow all necessary steps to meet SQF/ HACCP standard requirements
- Ordering spare parts using systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Good all-rounder with mechanical and maintenance skills. (Minimum 2 years)
- Previous experience in dealing with machine repairs, welding and fault finding. (Minimum 2 years)
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment (FMCG or Food experience desirable)
- Basic electrical maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
