Tasks and Qualifications:The Role:
We currently have a new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join our supportive and friendly team.
This role is supporting our customer site located The Port of Brisbane.
In this role you are required to work a mix of Day and Night shifts in a friendly rotating roster. You must be able to work in a cool room / freezer environment when required to meet the requirements of the position.
12 hour shifts, rotating rostered days and nights
Overtime offered, along with some potential weekend work offered at times (overtime rates apply).
The role is permanent full time and will give you a good exposure to a number of systems and technology.
You will be servicing clients' equipment in accordance with project and service agreements, whilst also identifying opportunities for improvement in the manufacture or performance of systems and products. Adhering to and promoting safety standards and work is also a vital component of the role.
What we are looking for:
Successful candidates will have experience in troubleshooting / problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered, as well as possessing the following qualifications & experience:
Must have technical qualifications as Mechanical Fitter (Australian recognised)
Applicants with Australian Unrestricted Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence highly regarded
Must have a reasonable understanding of mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience in previous roles
Any PLC experience is highly regarded, we can provide training on Siemens S7 and SCADA systems
Attributes sought include:
Experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
Computerised maintenance systems experience (SAP, MEX, JDE) is ideal
Experience with automation (conveyors and ASRS, Warehouse sortation/storage systems) is an advantage
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics highly regarded
Understanding of OH&S requirements and safe work behaviour
Ability to work in isolation and within a team
Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships with customers
Must have your own transportation and driver licence
