Our client provide specialised building repair services for insurers, loss adjusters and brokers. Established in 1989, the business operates throughout Australia with an expert team of professional building supervisors and repairers, who provide a premium customer service experience.
DUTIES:
- Coordinate end-to-end repair experiences for Major Loss jobs, overseeing tool and material selection, inventory tracking, and ensuring quality construction standards.
- Conduct detailed project reviews to schedule deliverables and estimate costs for a profitable margin.
- Proactively plan to prevent and address issues, ensuring timely repairs in line with client expectations.
- Prioritize workloads systematically to meet tight deadlines and provide top-notch customer service.
- Foster and maintain client relationships in the Major Loss market, liaising with business managers, suppliers, insurance companies, and trades.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and relevant statutory legislation.
- Take charge of Major Loss construction projects from conception to completion, preparing comprehensive internal and external reports on job status.
- Negotiate agreements, draft contracts, obtain permits and licenses, and assist with new starter training as needed.
ABOUT YOU
- A full and valid driving licence
- Trade qualifications preferred.
- Construction Management Degree/Qualification in Building & Construction/Site Supervisors or Builders registration
- Proven experience in facilitating major and complex loss events within Insurance Building Industry
- Experience of working with a multi-skilled trades team (within occupied/vacant properties) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to diagnose and prioritise specific work activities and tasks.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear results.
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible, caring, and professional approach to customer care within a wide range of work situations.
- Able to produce consistently high-quality workmanship.
- Proficient in MS Project/Excel + other Construction Scheduling Software Platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of construction related OH&S legislation.
