In light of newly secured projects in the water sector, Pructon is currently looking for an experienced SMP Site Supervisor to become part of our Sydney team.
The Role:The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the duties listed below, among others:
- Supervise and manage the installation of structural steel, pipework and mechanical plant/equipment.
- Interpret and clarify project specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Engineers and stakeholders to ensure contract specific tasks and milestones are met.
- Efficiently allocate resources, equipment and materials to meet requirement and deadlines.
- Monitor and inspect SMP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and client expectations.
- Implementation and monitoring of safe work practices, ensuring all SMP activities are to industry standards and company/client policies.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner for all SMP activities including but not limited to; daily reports, quality inspection reports and FIC's, WHS documentation, progress reports and any other project specific documentation.
- Manage and coordinate all incoming deliveries to site and arranging suitable laydown until parts are required.
- Provide input on construction methodology's and communicate this to the team through work packs.
We are in search of candidates who possess the following skills and experience:
- Trade qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
- Hold an EWP and Working at Heights licence (or willing to obtain)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SMP supervision
- Demonstrated experience leading team of Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Mechanical Fitters and Coded Welders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiar with safety regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret SMP drawings and specifications.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.
- Current drivers licence.
