This position is responsible for owning the standard costing process and supporting the Snr. Supply Chain & Finance Manager in the day-to-day financial analysis and reporting at the McCormick Clayton manufacturing site.

About the Role
As a member of the APZ Finance Team, the Management Accountant is critical in providing costing and supply chain financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting support.
The role is responsible for generating and updating standard costs for both imported and locally manufactured productions, analysing and reporting on movements in costs and comparing costs from various sources of supply. Utilizing multiple systems including SAP R3, this role supports new product development (NPD) by proving costing, analysing production performance, and identifying trends that add vale to decision making to support our Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Program (CCI) in operations and supply-chain.
- Preparation and maintenance of product and process costing information, including new product costs
- Review Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing to calculate cost of impact of production changes
- Analyse actual and standard cost and supporting pricing reviews
- Recognition of Cost of Goods in the financial accounts, including inventory module close, recoveries and variance analysis, and SLOB analysis
- In conjunction with the Operations/Supply Chain management support the preparation of the Operations Statement via standard cost development and workup of Fixed Overhead expenses
- Proactively identify process improvement within areas of responsibility, including maintaining SOPs and participating in ad hoc projects
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting or related Finance field
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of product costing and overall P&L and Balance Sheet
- Shown ability in building strong relationships with colleagues and all stakeholders
- Be punctual, honest and be willing to grow in the role along with us
